Whether you have an allotment, greenhouse or just a windowsill, there’s lots you can do to give your seedlings the best start.
This month we are busy at our nursery sowing seeds for the coming season. Here’s a couple of things you might find useful as you start your own planting and sowing.
Sticky traps are great to use all year round but are handy this time of year around the seed trays to trap Sciarid fly. Sciarid fly can be a real problem for gardeners in propagation trays or pots.
Although the adults don’t cause too much harm, Sciarid larvae cause havoc munching through the fragile roots of your seedlings

Sticky traps can be used vertically for flying pests such as aphids and leafminers, or horizontally for crawling pests like sciarid fly and thrips.
We offer blue and yellow sticky traps. Yellow are best for most things but blue are particularly good for thrips.
